Exciting Year End Update

Greetings in this beautiful holiday season! Due to unfortunate family health dynamics, we have been on sabbatical during part of this past year.  However, NCER has continually monitored the current Health Care Ethics landscape and publicly represented our shared passion to promote the life, dignity, and rights of every human being at each developmental stage.

NCER Progress in 2025:

  • Our SPIRIT Radio (102.7 FM) Interviews: We had the opportunity to conduct 9 “Bioethics Briefings with Carol” on Friday’s at 7:40 AM, every 5 weeks with Jen and Bruce/Damian, covering relevant issues. These included Animal Research, Artificial Intelligence, mRNA and Vaccines, Fetal Tissue use, The Role of the Church in Bioethics, Geoengineering, In Vitro Fertilization, Embryo Adoption, and The Wonders of Human Embryology. Spirit reaches more than 1.4M listeners in Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, Kansas, Wisconsin and Missouri.
  • Our New Conference Display: We represented NCER at the Creighton University “Converging Roads,” Health Care and Human Dignity Conference in October. Our new flag display and tablecloth will colorfully display NCER’s mission for years to come, and we have YOU to thank for your generosity in providing this!
  • Our Thriving Website – This year, our net webpage has been updated frequently, and had over 9,500 page views with over 8,900 unique first-time visits = 27 Unique visits per day!
  • Future Scheduled Outreach – In December, we will present to the UNMC “Medical Students Ethics Club” on Gene Editing and CRISPR-Cas9 and will also be interviewed on radio by the Nebraska Pregnancy Care Alliance program called “That’s Real Life”.

We hope to attend the “Augmented Humans Conference Spring 2026”, spotlighting Transhumanism and AI, and the “de Nicola Center for Ethics & Culture Fall 2026 Conference”.

In 2026, NCER continues to appreciate your support.

  • Your financial gifts: to sustain and expand our educational and marketing efforts.
  • Your sphere of influence: Tell your friends, family, and colleagues about NCER.
  • Your ideas – Let us know if we can give a presentation to your group or business.

We live in a scorching, fast paced, tumultuous world. Common sense, let alone integrity, seems to be a thing of the past. We are compelled to stand for Bioethics and the Sanctity of Human Life in “Such a time as this” (Ester 4: 14).

With your faithful partnership, together we will continue to raise our voices and change our culture one heart at a time!

With sincere thanks,

Carol Szczepaniak, President of NCER and all of the Board Members of NCER
